Purification & Zakat
Computed on dividends actually received, never on position value. A holding that paid nothing owes nothing, however large.

A calculation aid, not a religious ruling. The methodology is named so it can be checked against your own scholar's view.
Choose a nisab basis (gold 85g or silver 595g) and supply the current metal price. The two thresholds differ materially and scholars differ on which applies, so HTR does not choose one for you.
| Threshold | Quantity | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Gold nisab | 85.0 g | The higher threshold in most markets |
| Silver nisab | 595.0 g | The lower threshold; catches more holders |
| Lunar rate | 2.50% | Over a 354-day hawl |
| Solar rate | 2.577% | The solar-year equivalent |
HTR does not choose a nisab basis for you. 85g of gold and 595g of silver put the same holder above one threshold and below the other, and scholars differ on which applies.
HTR does not maintain a list of verified charities. Naming organisations as vetted would be a claim about them that HTR has not earned the right to make. Purification is owed; where it goes is yours and your scholar's to decide.
Paper and backtest results are hypothetical and do not represent actual trading. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Shariah screens and purification/Zakat figures are calculation aids, not religious rulings.
